Freshwater Habitats Trust Walk

We hope this walk will open your eyes to the world of water that flows and pools. The walk will be over lawn and through woodland, exploring the diversity of wet spaces and habitats that the New Forest holds. On the walk we will discuss some of the issues the wetlands face and the potential solutions.

The ground is uneven with trip hazards and wet areas, therefore everyone should wear sturdy footwear. Please ensure to dress according to the weather and have any personal medications with you. There are no facilities on the route, with Balmer lawn hotel the nearest. For bio-security, we ask everyone to come with clean footwear as we aim to prevent the spread of invasive species and diseases.
