Clive Chatters has spent the last 40 years living and working in the New Forest as a naturalist and conservationist, including multiple roles with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. He served as Chair of the New Forest National Park, and is currently the Natural England appointed Verderer. His latest book, Nature of the New Forest from Pisces Publications celebrates the riches of its wildlife.
Lyndsey Stride is a New Forest commoner, a trustee, since its inception, of the Foundation for Common Land, with experience in Environmental Land Management Schemes, including a test and trial with DEFRA and FCL, exploring delivery of landscape scale outcomes on lowland commons Lyndsey has also held roles within the Young Commoners group, CDA, OPOF and the New Forest Museum.
Nick Tomalin is Conservation Officer for the RSPB in the New Forest, looking for ways that the RSPB can support species and habitat conservation here. Since 2017, he’s helped to set up RSPB Franchises Lodge, a large site in the north of the Forest, returning former private estate land to habitat sensitive management.
Sam Haynes is Estate manager at Brock Park. Previously he spent a decade as Estate Manager of the Manor House Little Wittenham, working with founders of Earth Trust, as well as Wild Oxfordshire and the Sylva Foundation.
Brian Tarnoff (moderator) is the Chair of the New Forest Consultative Panel and is the Wildlife and Conservation representative on the New Forest Local Access Forum. He has been a Trustee and Council member of the New Forest Association for more than fifteen years, and was chair of the Habitat and Landscape Committee for ten. He is also a mobile projectionist for the rural cinema charity Moviola, and took second place for Film Criticism (over 18’s) in the 2011 New Forest Film Festival.
